The individual renovation roadmap (iSFP) shows step by step how a residential building can be comprehensively retrofitted for energy efficiency. Funding for the iSFP itself is available through EBW (Energieberatung für Wohngebäude – Energy Consulting for Residential Buildings): a 50% grant on the consulting fee, up to a maximum of €650 for 1–2 residential units and €850 for 3 or more residential units. iSFP Bonus in BEG EM (Bundesförderung für Effiziente Gebäude – Einzelmaßnahmen; Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings – Individual Measures) (as of July 21, 2026): The eligible cost ceiling doubles for the first residential unit from €30,000 to €60,000 (from the 2nd residential unit onwards from €15,000 to €30,000); however, the additional 5 percentage points apply only to the portion of costs above €30,000 and only if the measure's eligible costs are at least €30,000. Not applicable for heating system replacement and specialist planning/construction supervision. Prerequisites for the iSFP Bonus: the iSFP must be available at the time of application; the EBW approval must be available at the time of proof of use. Validity period: measures must be implemented within 15 years of the iSFP being prepared. Desktop application: From August 8, 2025 onwards, only version 2.5.x may be used.
The iSFP shows which measure makes sense and when – and is a prerequisite for the iSFP Bonus.
