- Voraussetzung: neues, reines Batterie-E-Fahrzeug (BEV), keine Hybride

What is the Investment Booster? Under the 2025 immediate tax investment program, new, fully electric vehicles held as business assets qualify for a special depreciation of 75% in the year of acquisition. It applies to vehicles acquired between July 1, 2025 and December 31, 2027.
Specifically for business owners:
- Year 1: 75% of the acquisition costs
- Thereafter: 10%, 5%, 5%, 3% and 2% in the following years
- Requirement: new, purely battery-electric vehicle (BEV), no hybrids
- For other movable business assets, a declining-balance depreciation (AfA) of up to 30% applies instead (acquisition July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027)
Example calculation (€40,000 net acquisition cost):
- Year 1: €30,000 depreciation → tax savings at a 30% marginal tax rate = €9,000
- Years 2–6: together the remaining €10,000
Additionally:
- Private use of electric company cars: 0.25% of the gross list price per month if the list price does not exceed €100,000 (acquisition from July 1, 2025); above that, 0.5%
- Charging electricity for employees: The monthly flat rates were abolished as of January 1, 2026. The actual costs or an electricity price flat rate per kWh charged are reimbursed (BMF letter of November 11, 2025).
EB Klein recommendation: Special depreciation, the 0.25% rule and the GHG quota (THG-Quote) can complement each other; the effect depends on the individual case – clarify this with your tax advisor.
