Wallbox-Förderung für Unternehmen 2026 (KfW 441 + AfA)
KfW 441 "Ladestationen für Elektrofahrzeuge - Unternehmen" (beendetes Altprogramm):
- Zuschuss 70 % der förderfähigen Kosten, höchstens 900 € pro Ladepunkt
- Antragsteller waren u. a. privatwirtschaftliche Unternehmen, gemeinnützige Organisationen und kommunale Unternehmen
Praxisbeispiel (8.000 € netto Wallbox 22 kW, vorsteuerabzugsberechtigtes Unternehmen):

KfW 441 "Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles - Businesses" (KfW, Germany's state development bank; discontinued legacy program):
- Grant of 70% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of €900 per charging point
- Applicants included private-sector companies, non-profit organizations and municipal enterprises, among others
- The application had to be submitted BEFORE placing the order
- A prerequisite was exclusively non-public use (employees, fleet vehicles)
- Status 2026: The program has ended and new applications are not possible. We are not aware of any relaunch.
Tax treatment:
- A business wallbox is depreciated. If it qualifies as movable business property and is acquired between July 1, 2025 and December 31, 2027, declining-balance depreciation (AfA, "Investitionsbooster") of up to 30% per year is possible. Otherwise, depreciation under the general rules applies – clarify with a tax advisor.
- The special depreciation of 75% in the year of acquisition applies only to electric vehicles, not to wallboxes.
- Maintenance and electricity costs: deductible as business expenses
- Input VAT deduction of 19% for businesses entitled to deduct input VAT – the input VAT is refunded, but it does not reduce the net acquisition costs.
Practical example (€8,000 net, 22 kW wallbox, business entitled to deduct input VAT):
- Invoice €9,520 gross; the €1,520 in VAT comes back as input VAT → net cost €8,000
- Grant: none (KfW 441 has ended)
- Depreciation in year 1 (declining-balance, up to 30%, assuming acquisition at the start of the year): €2,400 → tax saving of approx. €720 at a 30% marginal tax rate
- Over the entire useful life, the €8,000 is fully depreciated; declining-balance depreciation only brings the tax saving forward in time.
Recommendation from EB Klein: Before investing, check whether a funding program is currently running – grants generally must be applied for before placing the order. Clarify tax questions with your tax advisor.
